4 ways to get more from every gallery

Four weeks. Four revenue opportunities. Which ones are you already using?
Over the past four weeks, we’ve been looking at something simple:
How can you get more from the galleries and customers you already have?
Not by completely changing how you run your studio. Not by adding complicated new workflows.
By making better use of features already available within Captura.
We've covered four opportunities designed to help at different points in the customer journey — from making larger purchases more accessible, to creating additional revenue on an order, merchandising your shop more effectively and encouraging customers to keep building their cart.
And these aren't features we're highlighting just because they exist.
We're looking at customer experiences, adoption data and performance data to identify opportunities that are worth your attention.
So, if you missed an episode — or saw one come through during busy season and thought I'll get to that later — this is your chance to catch up.
Because there might be more revenue opportunity sitting inside your current setup than you realize.
1. Make it easier to say yes
Affirm + Promotional Banners
A customer can love their photos and still hesitate when they see the total.
That's where Affirm can help.
Affirm gives eligible customers the option to split their purchase into manageable payments, giving families more flexibility when they're deciding what they can afford.
And when you combine that flexibility with Promotional Banners, you can make the offers you want customers to see much harder to miss.
It's a simple combination:
Make the purchase more manageable.
Make the offer more visible.
And studios are already seeing the opportunity.
Have you switched it on?
Promotional Banners can be configured within your Cart Template.
Affirm requires activation, so if you're interested in offering it, talk to your CSM about the current agreement, costs and activation process.

2. Add another revenue opportunity to every order
Service fees
What if increasing revenue didn't require selling another product at all?
That's the opportunity behind Service Fees.
A Service Fee allows you to add an additional fee at checkout, clearly displayed as part of the customer's order.
One order might not seem significant.
But think about that across hundreds — or thousands — of orders.
A relatively small amount on an individual transaction can become a meaningful additional revenue stream at scale.
And this isn't just a theoretical opportunity.
Are you using it?
Service Fees can be configured directly within your Cart Template.
If you skipped this episode because you were already deep into busy season, you don't have to change every job overnight.
Test it on selected jobs. Review the customer experience. Or make it part of your next Cart Template setup.
3. Make the value easier to see
Strikethrough Pricing + Display Badges
You can have a great offer and still miss the sale if the customer doesn't understand the value.
That's why Week 3 focused on merchandising.
Strikethrough Pricing helps customers see the difference between an original and current price.
Display Badges help draw attention to the products, packages or offers you most want them to notice.
One communicates the value.
The other helps make sure customers see it.
Why does that matter?
Think about these two shopping experiences:
Package A — $119
versus:
POPULAR
$149 $119
The product hasn't changed.
The price hasn't changed.
What has changed is how clearly you're communicating the value of the offer.
Captura's existing commerce work groups Display Badges and Strikethrough Pricing with other merchandising tools designed to help studios guide customers through their shop and make offers easier to understand.
And that's an important distinction.
Revenue optimization doesn't always mean offering a bigger discount.
Sometimes it's about doing a better job of merchandising what you already sell.
Take another look at your shop
Open your shop and look at it like a customer rather than a studio owner.
Can you immediately tell which package represents the strongest value?
Do the products you most want to sell stand out?
Can a customer understand an offer without having to calculate the saving themselves?
If not, Week 3 is worth five minutes of your time.

4. Give customers a reason to add one more item
Free Shipping + Progress Bar
Imagine a customer has finished building their order.
Then they see:
You're $18 away from Free Shipping.
Do they check out?
Or do they go back and find one more product?
That's the opportunity behind Free Shipping + the Progress Bar.
Free Shipping creates a spending goal.
The Progress Bar makes that goal visible and shows customers exactly how close they are to reaching it.
And this is one opportunity where the data gives us a particularly good reason to pay attention.
What does the data show?
Captura data shows studios can see:
Up to 4% increase in AOV
when the Free Shipping threshold is set above the studio's typical order size and remains active throughout the season.
Our matched Product Adoption and GMV Tracker also found a positive pattern:
Studios using Free Shipping: ~15% YTD GMV growth
Studios not using Free Shipping: ~3% YTD GMV growth
That second comparison doesn't prove that Free Shipping caused the difference. Studios using the feature may differ in other ways.
But taken together, the data makes this an opportunity worth testing.
The goal isn't to give shipping away
The threshold matters.
Set it too low and you could give Free Shipping to customers who would have placed the order anyway.
Set it too high and customers may simply ignore it.
The opportunity is to use your typical AOV, shipping costs and margins to find a threshold that gives customers an achievable reason to spend a little more.
Then test it.
Below the threshold. Near the threshold. Above the threshold. Desktop. Mobile.
If you're already using Free Shipping, there's still an action here:
When did you last review your threshold?
Your AOV may have changed. Your prices may have changed. Your shipping costs may have changed.
The setting you chose previously may not be the right one today.

You don't have to adopt all four tomorrow
But you should know which ones you're leaving on the table.
That's really what these first four weeks of Revenue Opportunities have been about.
Not switching features on for the sake of adoption.
Not chasing every possible tactic.
And not adding more complexity to an already busy studio.
It's about understanding the tools available to you and asking:
Missed an episode? Catch up here.
Week 1 — Affirm + Promotional Banners
Give families more flexibility and make your best offers harder to miss.
Week 2 — Service Fees
Create another revenue opportunity across the orders you're already processing.
Week 3 — Strikethrough Pricing + Display Badges
Make the value of your products, packages and offers easier to see.
Week 4 — Free Shipping + Progress Bar
Give customers a visible reason to keep building their cart.
Next up: put the product in the picture
We've spent the first four weeks looking at ways to influence the purchase through payment flexibility, additional revenue, merchandising and incentives.
Next, we're looking at the shopping experience itself.
Revenue Opportunities: Dynamic Display Images
Instead of showing families a generic placeholder when they're shopping eligible products and packages, Dynamic Display Images can show the shopper's own image on the product they're considering.
That means the customer doesn't just have to imagine what they're buying.
They can see it.
If you haven't switched on Dynamic Display Images yet, you'll want to see the next episode.
Keep an eye out for Week 6 of Revenue Opportunities: Dynamic Display Images.
